The Industrialization of Our Minds

Our whole life we’ve been manipulated into certain ways of thinking and acting by the relentless pressures of Big Industry. The industries of food, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, hospitals, healthcare, and insurance are all striving to remain relevant, to grow, and most importantly, to make more money. And to do so, they need us, and they will stop at nothing to extract everything they can from us. Regardless of how it affects us.

Every day, we fight a psychological battle with the decisions we make about what’s best for ourselves and our families, both knowingly and unknowingly. We’re being pitted in both the conscious and subconscious realms. By attacking us in both realms, Big Industry has the greatest chance of subverting our natural human instincts, our most basic human biology, and turning us into newly informed and abiding beings. We will be prone to make decisions that benefit their respective industries, regardless of their effect on ourselves and our families.

We may feel like we’re living a free life, but we are losing our ability to be autonomous, independent beings. Ones who can assume responsibility for their current condition and believe that they are responsible for governing it. Big Industry (and I should include Big Government here) want us to believe that it’s through them, that our being is protected and best looked after. If anything goes wrong, then they are all-powerful and there for us. There for us with all the creature comforts, handouts, tools, pills, treatments, and care to assuage our condition as quickly as possible. Then we can get right back to doing what led us there in the first place.

Once Big Industry removes the responsibility of health off our shoulders, the responsibility for our actions, our body, and our condition, then we will fully and completely rely on their solutions. Recently, we’ve been gaslit on genetics being the primary driver of obesity. If this is true, and it’s not mainly the result of our daily nutritional and physical habits, then Big Healthcare and Big Pharma have all the ammunition they need to start prescribing and shoving weight loss pills down our throats. Not surprisingly is the fact that the orator of this recent claim of genetics driving obesity received consulting payments from weight loss drug manufacturers as recent as 2021.

Big Industry wants us to be oblivious to it all. To be ignorant of their manipulative efforts and powers. Even more so, they want us to get to the point where we know their efforts exist and have been imposed on us, but we don’t care anymore. We see them as just a part of our life now. I’d say that’s their endgame. They don’t want us to consider how our daily actions, impulses, and desires affect our being, and what the consequences may be if we continue to do them. That’s when they can extract maximum value out of us.

We might as well be mindless sheep, hurtling ourselves into oblivion if this is all the case.

But it’s terrifying not to be the sheep. To hold ourselves accountable for our actions. To be disciplined enough to not divulge into our desires, the desires that have been influenced and manipulated by Big Industry over our lifetime. To not only recognize them but dare to change them. It’s hard, it sucks, and it’s not fun, but when exercised, it provides true freedom.

Childhood Obesity – The Tipping Point of Industrial Insults on Our Health

We are entering a new phase of this war on our autonomy. Pharmaceutical and medical giants are quickly gaining more approval through the FDA and the American Academy of Pediatrics to treat the chronic diseases plaguing our children through medication and surgery. Most recently: childhood obesity. These “quick fixes” to an issue with parenting and society, beleaguered by the belief that we are unable to stop this epidemic of obesity, will be the kiss of death to these kids and future generations.

These kids will now be exposed, at an early age, to the freedom from the consequences of poor health habits, through pharmaceuticals and surgery, leading to a lifetime of dependency and poor self-discipline. They, and those around them, will believe that no matter what they do, what they eat, or how they treat their mind and body, Big Healthcare will take care of them. No longer will they be responsible for their actions. And no longer will parents be held accountable for their child’s health outcomes. Once that is instilled at an early age and in parents, all will be lost. We will have created a future of total dependency on the industrial healthcare machine.

Only through the love of a family, deindustrialized from all the greed and manipulation of industry, will our children’s future be theirs. Theirs to live freely and in control of their beings.

Nutrition – Ground Zero of our Deteriorating Health

We’ve been convinced that it’s hard to eat healthily. That every food, processed or whole, has something dangerous about it. This makes it even more difficult for us to improve our nutrition. Leading us to inevitably fail at some point, reverting to the garbage we always eat. That’s exactly what They want. The more obscure Big Industry can make something, the harder it is to follow the right path. This is especially dangerous when it comes to the food we eat because it has the greatest impact on our overall health and wellness.

It should come as no surprise, then, that Big Industry, specifically Big Food and Big Agriculture, and Big Government, specifically the FDA and the USDA, have corrupted some (if not all) of America’s leading nutrition agencies and schools. Greed and power run deep among all these groups, influencing everything from what our children eat at school to what our nutritionist advises us to eat to how foods are marketed to us on TV and in the grocery store. Any time you go grocery shopping and see a product labeled as healthy, you should think, “now, why would this need to be marketed to me as healthy?”. Well, because it’s not healthy, it doesn’t look like real food, but they must convince you somehow that it is. You’ll never see an apple marketed as healthy.

Providing proper nutrition is even more difficult when it comes to feeding your family, especially if young children are involved, who are entirely dependent on us to feed but make it challenging to do so due to the irrationality of their developing minds. Plus, as a parent of young children, we’re exhausted on top of it all; working, cooking, cleaning, etc., and as a result, our patience is lower. Thus, we inevitably digress and fall towards the quick fixes to feed our children (and ourselves) that Big Food has so kindly prepared for us, and that Big Medical is so kindly prepared to heal us and our kids from once disease starts creeping in.

“Just live your life, eat and drink whatever you want, treat your body however you want, it’s OK, we got this, no need to worry about the consequences.” – Big Industry.

What’s At Stake if We Don’t Deindustrialize our Lives

Deindustrialization is an awakening to the industrial capture of our lives and our ability to think for ourselves; to our responsibility for ourselves and our outcomes; to our capacity to fix ourselves. It’s awakening to the industrial capture of our children and the diminishment of our role and power as parents to be the true harbingers of health and wellness for them.

For,

if we cannot think for ourselves,

if we cannot take responsibility for ourselves,

if we cannot fix ourselves,

we are not ourselves anymore.

We are Theirs.

if we cannot properly feed our kids,

if we cannot keep our kids active,

if we cannot set an example for our kids,

they are not our kids anymore.

Our kids are Theirs.

It’s time we start deindustrializing our minds, our diets, and our lives. We must do so, for our children, and the future of our communities, depend on it. We must stop being the piggybank for Big Industry to keep cracking open, taking money from, and gluing back together. At some point, there will be nothing left of us.
